1. Investing in life – not in wars

A deep cut in military spending and an end to funding the war, the settlements, and the occupation. The investment in wars amounts to 400-500 billion NIS a year. This resource must be distributed for the benefit of all citizens, by developing social services, education, and healthcare.

  2. Housing is a right

Guaranteeing public housing for all who lack housing, rent control so that rent does not exceed 20% of family income, reinstating the Public Housing Law, expanding budgets, and massive construction of housing units for rent or purchase at discounted prices through government-owned companies.

A first home without interest: Establishing a state mortgage bank, abolishing interest on mortgages for young people and first-time home buyers, and lowering interest rates across the economy.

  3. Free education

Free education from age 0 to the doctorate.

  4. A wage that enables living with dignity

Raising the minimum wage and pegging it to no less than 70 per cent of the average wage in the economy.

  5. Protecting workers' rights

Full enforcement of labour laws, the minimum wage, and safety laws – for all workers, women and men.

The interests of working women, working men, and industry in Israel come before the interests of multinational corporations, the United States, the International Monetary Fund, and the World Bank.

  6. Budgetary equality

Equalising all budgets allocated to all citizens, and equalising the standard of social services, education, housing, and welfare.

  7. Investing in Arab society

Preparing and implementing dedicated programmes to close the gaps between Arab society and Israeli society as a whole, with an emphasis on investment in education, housing, welfare, infrastructure, public transport, and the establishment of industrial zones. Recognising Arab localities as development areas, and large-scale government investment.

  8. Tax The Rich

Unlike small businesses, which receive no support whatsoever, giant companies and corporations receive excessive benefits. We will support abolishing tax benefits for financial corporations and large companies, and increasing the tax on financial profits, including stock-market profits, to 30%. Alongside this, we will support an income tax exemption for employees and self-employed people earning up to the average wage in the economy, and lowering VAT to 10%.

  9. Stopping privatisation

Government-owned companies belong to the public, not to the owners of capital. We will demand the cancellation of all privatisation plans, the nationalisation of companies that were privatised, democratisation in the management of government-owned companies, and the repeal of the undemocratic Economic Arrangements Law, which for years allowed cuts to welfare and the promotion of privatisations.

  10. Strengthening the National Insurance Institute

Returning all funds taken from the National Insurance Institute to fund the state budget, and stopping the transfer of surpluses to the Treasury. Reversing cuts to benefits and raising the basic allowance to 25% of the average wage in the economy.
