Accessibility statement

The website was built from the outset in accordance with Israeli Standard 5568 and WCAG 2.0 at Level AA. This statement sets out only what has been tested, and what has not yet been.

What has been tested and found compliant

The text colours on the website have been measured and meet a contrast ratio of at least 4.5:1 against their background. The turquoise of the logo is used for colour areas only, and never as a background for text.

Every link, button and field displays a double outline when focused — a dark frame and a white frame — measured against every background colour on the website, so that it is visible on every surface. This check runs automatically with every build of the website.

At the top of every page there is a skip-to-content link, and all content and navigation are accessible by keyboard alone.

Fonts are served from the website itself, and text size adapts to the screen width and browser settings.

The only motion on the website is a brief entrance of the colour stripes. It does not repeat, and anyone who has set a preference for reduced motion in their operating system sees the finished page immediately, without motion.

What has not yet been tested

The website has not yet undergone an external accessibility audit by a certified professional, and has not yet been tested with screen readers by users who rely on them.

The volunteer and contact forms are powered by the Tally service and embedded in the website, and their accessibility is therefore that of Tally. We checked that every field in them is linked to its label, but they have not yet been tested with screen readers. Without JavaScript, selecting a party opens the form on its own page on Tally, but completing the form itself requires JavaScript.
